On 4 December 2024, at Buddharama Temple, to mark the occasion of the Birthday Anniversary of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej The Great, the National Day of the Kingdom of Thailand and Thailand’s Father’s Day (5 December 2024), Ambassador Arunrung Phothong Humphreys presided over a Buddhist ceremony and presented flowers in front of His Majesty’s portrait and, together with officials, performed a memorial candle lighting ceremony with an 89-second silence in tribute to His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej The Great. Diplomats from the Royal Thai Embassy and officials from the Defence, Air Attaché Office and the Tourism Authority of Thailand , Stockholm office , along with their family members, also attended the ceremony.
