Ambassador invites Thai nationals to attend free class of Korean language at Gwangju International Residents Center

On 22 June 2024, H.E. Mr. Tanee Sangrat, Ambassador of Thailand to the ROK together with Mr. Bancha Yuenyongchongcharoen , Minister/ Deputy Chief of Mission and Mrs. Sirirat Srichart, Thai Labour Attache discussed with Mr. Shin Gyeong-gu , Director of Gwangju International Residents Center (GIC) on promotion of cooperation with this Center which providing advices to foreign nationals on law, labor as well as free Korean language classes.

Both sides agreed to support Thai community in Gwangju to participate in cultural events during Gwangju International Community Day organized by the Center in upcoming October. The newly established Thai temple in Gwangju can be the center of Thai community. The Embassy will help connect Thai community leaders to the works of the Center and will encourage Thai residents to attend free Korean language class.
