On 3 May 2022, H.E. Mr. Witchu Vejjajiva, Ambassador of Thailand to the ROK, met with Mr. Kim Byung-kwan, Chairman of the Korea Importers Association (KOIMA), to discuss opportunities in enhancing trade between Thai suppliers and Korean importers. Ambassador highlighted the potential of Thai manufacturing companies in possibly expanding their market in the ROK and requested KOIMA to help encourage the revision of regulations to facilitate import process/market access for Thai agricultural products. After the discussion, Ambassador met with executives of five KOIMA member companies from various sectors that are currently conducting business or wishing to start business in Thailand. He expressed readiness of the Royal Thai Embassy and the Office of Commercial Affairs to facilitate business matching between the two sides.
