On 8 April 2022, H.E. Ms. Rommanee Kananurak, Ambassador-Designate of Thailand to Italy delivered opening remarks on the occasion of “Thailand Day” at the 19^th Asian Film Festival, Cinema Farnese, Rome. The event was attended by Team Thailand representatives in Italy, Italian public and private sector, foreign Embassies in Italy, and the press.

The Royal Thai Embassy in collaboration with Asian Film Festival organized this event to promote and raise visibility of Thai film in Italy. It also presented a good opportunity for Thai artists and film makers to gain a recognition from overseas.

Four Thai films were screened during the event namely (1) The Edge of Daybreak, (2) Come Here, (3) The Medium, and (4) Anatomy of Time. More than 500 seats were booked by Italian movie lovers.
