In the evening of Saturday 25th May 2024, the Royal Thai Embassy in Prague, organized a classical music performance “Music in the Castle” at the Masquerade Hall inside the Český Krumlov castle, built in the 13th century on the bank of Vltava river of the South Bohemian region. This medieval castle has since 1992 been listed the UNESCO World Cultural and Natural Heritage. The musical performance was part of the Embassy’s cultural events to celebrate on the occasion of the 50th Anniversary of Diplomatic Relations between the Kingdom of Thailand and the Czech Republic.
The Ambassador of Thailand and Mrs. Patcharin Kaewsook, together with Mr. Alexandr Nogrády, Mayor of Český Krumlov and Dr. Pavel Slavko, Chief Administration of the State Castle Český Krumlov, amicably welcomed all distinguished guests, Ambassadors and members of diplomatic missions, the town hall’s representatives, members of local university as well as Thai community, who attended the musical concert and reception party at the Castle.
The performance was presented by three Thai musicians, namely Mr. Chinnawat Themkumkwun, classical guitarist, Miss Dares Hutawattana, Soprano vocalist and singer, and Mr. Supawee Srisurichan, a pianist. Various western classical music and Thai songs were professionally performed to the audience with their wonderful style of expression.
