Prime Minister delivers 2023 UN Day statement reiterating Thailand’s support for UN and readiness to work together towards peaceful, sustainable, better world for future generations

On 24 October 2023, H.E. Mr. Srettha Thavisin, Prime Minister, delivered a statement on the United Nations Day, 24th October 2023, reiterating Thailand’s continuous support for the work of the United Nations. He also stressed the importance of international cooperation with the United Nations at its core in response to current global challenges, particularly geopolitical conflicts, inequality, climate change, and the implementation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.

Prime Minister mentioned the mission of Thailand during the recent High-level week of the 78th Session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York, the United States. According to the Head of the Thai delegation, the purposes of the Kingdom’s participation included the promotion of international trust in Thailand and cooperation in areas in which Thailand has been successful. Thailand’s role in such fields has also been recognized by the international community for improving the livelihood of all.

Furthermore, Prime Minister also underscored Thailand’s readiness to cooperate with all stakeholders to build a peaceful and sustainable world for Thai people and the international community, making it a better place for future generations.
