On 12 November 2023, H.E. Ms. Vimolbajra Ruksakiati, Ambassador of Thailand to Iceland with Residence in Oslo, presided over the Offering Ceremony for the Royal Kathina Robes at Wat Thai Iceland, Kopavogur, Iceland. The Ceremony was headed by Phra Raja Visuddhivides (Phramaha Wisuddhi Chotipratoom), the Chief Abbot of Wat Thai Dhammaram, Waterloo, Belgium and the Royal Kathina Robes was donned by Phra Khru Witessiritham (Phra Maha Prasit Boonkam), the Chief Abbot of Wat Thai Iceland. The Ceremony was attended by officials from the Royal Thai Embassy in Oslo, Thai Community in Iceland, foreign Buddhists, and Icelandic people.
 
The Royal Kathina Ceremony took place at Wat Thai Iceland in the city of Kopavogur, while the celebration of the Royal Kathina Ceremony took place at the Reykjavik City Hall in Reykjavik. Both events were attended by around 400 participants, including Thai Community in Iceland, foreign Buddhists, and Icelandic people.
