On 8 August 2023, H.E. Ms. Vimolbajra Ruksakiati, Ambassador of Thailand to Norway, attended a ceremony to celebrate the 56th Anniversary of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations or ASEAN at the Philippine Embassy. The ceremony was led by H.E. Mr. Enrico T. Fos, Ambassador of the Philippines, as Chair of the ASEAN Committee in Oslo (ACO), and attended by H.E. Ms. Maw Maw, Ambassador of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar and H.E. Mr. Dinh Nho Hung, Ambassador of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam to Norway, as well as representatives from the Embassies of ASEAN countries in Oslo including Thailand, the Philippines, Indonesia, Myanmar, and Vietnam. At the ceremony, Ambassador of the Philippines delivered his opening remarks and invited all ASEAN Ambassadors and representatives for an ASEAN handshake, a joint photo session, and the singing of the ASEAN Anthem.

On this occasion, ASEAN Ambassadors in Norway discussed and exchanged views regarding activities of the ACO including the ASEAN Family Day Event in 2023 which the Thai Embassy in Oslo offered a venue for the event.
