On 17 February 2024, Her Excellency Ms. Vimolbajra Ruksakiati, Ambassador of Thailand to Norway, invited volunteer teachers and students from the Language and Cultural Centre, Wat Thai Norway, for a luncheon at the Thai Residence.
Teachers and students from the Language and Cultural Centre won the lucky draw "Lunch with the Ambassador" at the Loy Kratong event at Wat Thai Norway.
In her remarks, Ambassador Vimolbajra commended the Language and Cultural Centre and the parents for their contribution in promoting the Thai language and Thai culture to the children. Ambassador Vimolbajra also emphasized that the Thai-Norwegian children represent the future generation of the Thai-Norwegian relations in the most meaningful way, especially in enhancing people-to-people relations. On this occasion, Ambassador Vimolbajra presented a certificate and financial support the work of the Language and Cultural Centre and gave Thai children's story books and stationery to each student individually.
The Royal Thai Embassy has also invited Ms. Punwipa Solberg, a Thai face painting artist, to participate in the event and painted the faces of students and teachers.
The Embassy hopes that this activity will provide a great support to the teachers who are volunteers in their work at the Language and Cultural Centre and enhance the relations between the Embassy and the Thai children in Norway.
