On 20 January 2023, H.E. Ms. Vimolbajra Ruksakiati, Ambassador of Thailand to Norway, invited 22 Thai students in Norway for a dinner at the Thai Residence to exchange views including activities of Thai students in Norway and ways the Embassy could help in promoting and strengthening a network of Thai students in Norway. Mr. Monsak Jangariyawong, Minister Counsellor, Ms. Potchamas Saengthien, Counsellor, Ms. Bheraya Homkosol, Counsellor, and Ms. Chidchanok Anawatmongkon, Second Secretary also participated.

 

Ambassador Vimolbajra stressed that Thai students in Norway are an important asset to both Thailand and Norway. Twenty two Thai students who came the Embassy are from both undergraduate and graduate levels and some are exchange students. They are studying in various fields such as Earth Science, Business Administration, Economics, Graphic Design and Illustration, Visual Art and Design, Chemistry, Laws, and Shipping, from various academic institutions in Norway including Norwegian Business School (BI), Norwegian School of Economics, Oslo National Academy of the Arts, Oslo School of Architecture and Design, University of South-Eastern Norway (Notodden campus), Einar Granum School of Fine Art, Oslomet (Oslo Metropolitan University), University of Oslo, and University of Bergen.
