On 19 January 2023, H.E. Ms. Vimolbajra Ruksakiati, Ambassador of Thailand to Norway, invited Mr. Egil Lothe, Secretary General, Buddhist Federation in Norway, Mr. Per Otto Wold, a Norwegian Buddhist who made important contribution to the Skiptvet Buddhist Monastery (Lokuttara Vihara), and Mrs. Shantana Srivipa Berg, President of Thai Women’s Association in Norway and Board member of Buddhist Federation in Norway, and also two Thai Buddhists to the Thai Residence. Ambassador Vimolbajra discussed with Mr. Egil Lothe and other participants about the Embassy’s Dhamma Diplomacy project including the visit to Norway of Phra Dharma Bajrayanamuni (Phra Ajahn Jayasaro) and Phraratvajarasuttiwong (Most Venerable Arayawangso) to Norway. Ambassador Vimolbajra requested the continued excellent cooperation from the Buddhist Federation in Norway on these two important visits.

 

As tokens of appreciation, Ambassador Vimolbajra gave the book “The Buddhist Civilization of Gandhara” by Most Venerable Arayawangso to Mr. Lothe, the book “Stillness Flowing” by Ajahn Jayasaro to Mr. Wold, the book “Kanyuta” to Ms. Shantana and the book “Hundred Years Between” to all five guests.
