On July 20 and 26, 2024, Miss Somjai Taphaopong, Consul General in New York, joined in offering support and presented bouquets to congratulate the producers, directors, and lead actors of the Thai films “Operation Undead” and “How to Make Millions Before Grandma Dies.” These Thai films are two out of six selected to be featured at the New York Asian Film Festival for the year 2024. She had previously extended her support to other films, namely “Not Friends,” “Pattaya Heat,” “Supposed,” and “The Cursed Land,” which were also screened at the festival.

Both films received great interest from the audience. The screening of “Operation Undead” marked its world premiere, while “How to Make Millions Before Grandma Dies” garnered such positive feedback that an additional showing was scheduled. The latter film was also nominated for the Uncaged Award for Best Feature Film Competition at the festival this year.
