On 8 June 2022, the Royal Thai Consulate-General in New York, together with the Consulates General of the Republic of Türkiye, the Republic of Indonesia, and the Republic of the Philippines, and the American Immigrant Society, co-hosted the Joint Cultural Showcase at the premises of the Consulate General of the Republic of Türkiye which kindly supported the venue arrangement. The event was attended by around 300 guests. The showcase was organized in order to demonstrate the power of diverse races which are part of the multicultural society of New York City.

 

At the event, the Royal Thai Consulate-General outstandingly presented Thai gastronomy, along with fruit and vegetable carving demonstration, spectacular Thai cultural dances provided by the Thai Cultural Center of New York, as well as the trade and tourism promotion corner kindly supported by the Thai Trade Center in New York and the Tourism Authority of Thailand, New York Office.

 

During the opening ceremony, Consul General Fabio Chinda, in his speech, stated that the Thai community in New York is proud to be part of this vibrant city. Thai people’s traits of being thoughtful, delicate, friendly and open-minded are contributory to the diversity of businesses, innovations, arts, and so on, and are also key to the city’s survival through the COVID-19. The Thai community also stands ready to put their efforts in unity with the city and the others to keep the city going forward under any circumstances.
