On 15-17 July 2023, Ms. Pattarat Hongtong, Ambassador of Thailand to India, visits Leh, Ladakh to participate in Buddhist activities to promote cultural relation between Thailand and India namely (1) the Grand reception for the Dhamma Pat Yatris atMahabodhi International Meditation Centre (MIMC) on 15 July 2023, (2) Mass Walk for World Peace at Shanti Stupa on 16 July 2023 and (3) International Conference on World Peace at Central Institute of Buddhist Studies on 17 July 2023.    

The above-mentioned activities, which are organized by MIMC and attended by venerable monks, including the Venerable Pradhammavachirakawee, Chief Abbot of Singburi Province/Abbot of Wat Pranornchaksri, and buddhists from Thailand and India as well as scholars and local MP from Ladakh, are cultural cooperation between Thai and Indian Buddhist organizations led by the Venerable Pradhammavachirakawee and the Venerable Bhikku Sanghasena, founder of MIMC. The events, which are in line with Dhamma Diplomacy, helped promote Buddhism in India and mutual understanding as well as relation between Thais and Indians through cultural cooperation.
