On 3 September 2022, Mr. Paisan Rupanichakij Ambassador of Thailand to Mexico attended the Thai Food Festival 2022 at Banyan Tree Cabo Marques Hotel, Acapulco, in which he delivered an opening remarks together with the hotel management team. More than 350 people attended the event, the majority were Mexican tourists and locals, and local media.

There were booths of Thai food and dessert prepared by a corporate Thai chef of Banyan Tree Hotel Group in Bangkok and Chefs from the Saffron Restaurant, a fruit and vegetable carving show, as well as videos about Thailand and Thai music. The hotel staff also dressed Thai costumes.

This was the last Thai Food Festival 2022 organised by Banyan Tree Hotel Group this year. There have been Thai Fest at Banyan Tree Hotels in four key Mexican cities: Puebla on 18 August 2022, Merida on 20 August 2022, Cancun on 27 August 2022, and Acapulco on 3 September 2022.
