On 30 June 2022, the Royal Thai Embassy in Mexico City organised a roundtable discussion on APEC 2022 under Thailand’s Chairmanship at the Thai Residence. It was presided over by H.E. Mr. Paisan Rupanichkij and attended by high-level representatives of Mexican public and private sectors namely; H.E. Ms. Luz Maria de la Mora, Vice Minister for Foreign Trade, Ministry of Economy of Mexico, and Mr. Sergio Ley Lopez, Chairman of Asia Pacific of the Mexican Council for Foreign Trade (COMCE) and ABAC Mexico, as well as Ambassadors from ASEAN member countries (Indonesia, Vietnam, Malaysia), China, South Korea and New Zealand.

During the talk, participants exchanged views on priority issues for each country and ways forward for cooperation under APEC. They also shared comments on the recent developments of economic cooperation in the region, especially the Indo-Pacific Economic Framework (IPEF) and the Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement of Trans-Pacific Partnership (CPTPP).
