The Royal Thai Embassy in Manama in partnership with Thai Mart Bahrain and Tourism Authority of Thailand Dubai office, organized the Second Edition of the “Thai Halal Products in Bahrain" event at Thai Mart during 15–17 September 2022.

Over three days of the event, Thai halal food and halal products were on sale at the booths both inside and outside the mall. The participants were also enjoyed the activities such as wishing tree and spicy eating contest.

According to Thai Mart, approximately 7,000 visitors dropped by the event, comprising over the three-day weekend period, visitors included Bahrainis and resident expatriates, as well as other short-term visitors from Saudi Arabia and GCC neighbours. This figure represented a 50% rise compared to the previous weekend.

The popularity of Thai products here is supported by the fact that Thailand remains one of the top desired destinations for Bahrainis and GCC nationals to visit after the Covid pandemic subsides.
