On 12-15 September 2023, H.E. Mr. Pisanu Sobhon, Ambassador of Thailand to Peru and delegation from the Royal Thai Embassy in Lima, made a business trip to Cusco, as part of a project to promote economic cooperation between Thailand and countries in the Andean region. The delegation met with Mr. Luis Pantoja, Mayor of Cusco, Ms. Yony Hanalih Caballero Valdivia, Regional Assistant of Office of Iperu for Tourist Information and Assistance in Cusco and high-level representatives from the public and private sector of Cusco. Both sides discussed ways to strengthen cooperation in trade and investment and to exchange knowledge and best practices on developing a sustainable tourism industry, as well as initiating sister city relations.
