On 20 July 2024, the Royal Thai Embassy in Kuala Lumpur organised the Training and Routing for International Career 2024 (TRIC 2024) Project for over 100 Thai students in Malaysia at Oakwood Hotel and Residence. Activities included: (1) a Special Talk on “Pathways for Fresh Graduates” by Assoc. Prof. Kiattisak Raksasat, Lecturer from the Faculty of Engineering, Southeast Asia University, aiming at inspiring a valuable entry into the workforce; and (2) a Panel Discussion on “Thai Businesses to Malaysia” by officials from the Embassy, the Department of International Trade Promotion (DITP) - Kuala Lumpur Office, and the Office of Labour Affairs in Malaysia, whereby various useful information was shared, including Malaysian economic insights, the Embassy's mission to promote Thailand – Malaysia economic cooperation, prospects of Thai businesses and export of Thai goods to Malaysia, as well as relevant employment regulations in Malaysia.
 
On 21 July 2024, the Embassy organised the STEAM4INNOVATOR Workshop featuring five speakers: (1) Ms. Pattamawadee Phuaphromyod, Senior Innovation Promotion Manager, Entrepreneur Development Department, National Innovation Agency (Public Organisation); (2) Ms. Thitiya Khukhantin, Innovation Promoter, Entrepreneur Development Department, National Innovation Agency (Public Organisation); (3) Dr. Nimarunee Hayeewangoh, Assistant to the Rector for Educational System and Learning Development, Yala Rajabhat University; (4) Ms. Russamon Yuraphan, Lecturer from the Faculty of Business Administration, Rajamangala University of Technology Srivijaya; and (5) Assoc. Prof. Dr. Kusumal Chalermyanont, Director of the Innovation Engineering and Management Programme, Faculty of Engineering, Prince of Songkla University. The workshop was conducted with an objective to provide the students with opportunities to develop their potentials in creativity, projects deliberation and entrepreneurship, based on the STEAM Framework: Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics, as well as to apply innovative thinking in local enterprise development to improve the economy and quality of life, especially in Thailand’s southern border provinces.
 
The TRIC 2024 is in its 3rd edition, supported by the Embassy with a view to present opportunities for Thai students in Malaysia to equip themselves with academics, job skills, interpersonal relationships with colleagues, as well as a positive work attitude, prior to their graduation. The Project also aims to ensure the quality of growth for the students who will soon enter professional workforce and become breadwinners of their families, while contributing to their local communities, society, and the country.
