On 27 July 2024, Mr. Phasit Chudabuddhi, Consul-General of Thailand to Kota Bharu, handed over financial contribution of 500,000 Baht to Prof. Ts. Dr. Aweng A/L Eh Rak, Deputy Chairman of the Kelantan Siamese Association, with an aim to support Thai   language learning and cultural activities organized by the Association in Kelantan. On this occasion, the Association’s executive members expressed their deep appreciation to the Consulate-General for its long-running and fruitful cooperation with the Association, noting that the said contribution is very beneficial to implementation of activities on Thai language and culture learning by the Association in the near future. Following the hand-over ceremony, the Consul – General and the executive members of the Association discussed general guidelines on use of the contribution for the activities to ensure continuity of the Siamese cultural identity in Kelantan.
