On 16 August 2024, the Royal Thai Consul-General of Thailand in Kolkata attended ‘The Prayer Service to Celebrate Her Majesty the Queen Mother’s 92^nd Birthday Anniversary and His Majesty the King of Thailand’s 6 Cycle or 72^nd Birthday Anniversary’. At the prayer service, Ms. Siriporn Tantipanyathep. Consul-General of Thailand in Kolkata led the attendees in paying homage to Their Majesties’ portraits and offered the robe bestowed by His Majesty the King upon Phra Dhammabodhivong, Chief Abbot of Wat Thai Budddhagaya. 93 high-ranking monks performed the prayer service, while by Dr. Smt. Mahashweta Maharathi, Secretary of the Bodhi Temple Management Committee (BTMC) also attended.
