On 5 December 2022, the Royal Thai Embassy in Dakar hosted a Reception to celebrate the auspicious occasion of the Birthday Anniversary of H.M. King Bhumibol Adulyadej The Great, the National Day of the Kingdom of Thailand and Thailand’s Father’s Day at Radisson Blu Hotel, Dakar. H.E. Mr. Aly Saleh Diop, Minister of Livestock and Animal Products attended the reception as the Guest of Honour and the representative of the Senegalese Government. The reception was attended by 150 guests, including Ambassadors, High Commissioners and representatives of the diplomatic corps, international organisations, Thai association and Thai community in Senegal.

 

On this occasion, Ambassador of Thailand to Senegal, delivered her remarks in remembrance of H.M. King Bhumibol Adulyadej The Great for his gracious kindness and throughout his reign legacy, as well as the importance of National Day of the Kingdom of Thailand, Thailand’s Father’s Day and the World Soil Day. Madame Ambassador also highlighted the commitment to deepen cooperation in the area of economic and trade, public health and development cooperation, as well as to further enhance relationship between Thailand and Senegal. H.E. Mr. Aly Saleh Diop, Minister of Livestock and Animal Products congratulated on the cordial ties between Thailand and Senegal, and also see potential for both countries to further strengthen economic cooperation and tourism, as well as development cooperation in the area of agriculture, fisheries, and public health, which Thailand has been the major contributor throughout the years. After the Remarks, the Thai Ambassador invited all guests to join her in a toast for good health of H.M. King Maha Vajiralongkorn Phravajiraklaochaoyuhua and H.E. Mr. Macky Sall, President of the Republic of Senegal and the long-lasting friendship, happeness and prosperity between the two country.
