On November 1, 2024, the Royal Thai Consulate-General, Chicago hosted a Networking Reception to welcome Thai Higher Education Administrators on a visit to Chicago, co-organized by the U.S. Embassy in Bangkok and the university of Alabama.

The event was attended by officers from the Royal Thai Consulate-General, Chicago, Thai Higher Education Administrators, the representative of the U.S. Embassy in Bangkok, Minister-Counsellor (Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation), Royal Thai Embassy, Washington D.C., together with professors, scholars, and Thai students in Chicago and nearby areas.

On this occasion, Consul-General Katanawadee Kalayanamit delivered welcoming remarks, fostering a warm atmosphere for dinner and productive discussions among participants, aiming to strengthen relationships, broaden networks, and explore potential academic collaboration opportunities between Thailand and the Midwest region.

The Royal Thai Consulate-General, Chicago wishes to extend an appreciation to the U.S. Embassy in Bangkok and all attendees for participating in the said networking reception.
