On August 21st, 2024, H.E. Dr. Suriya Chindawongse, Ambassador of Thailand to the United States, along with Consul-General Katanawadee Kalayanamit, Deputy Consul-General Natnapang Damrongsoontornchai, and the Director and Deputy Director of the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) Chicago Office, attended a ceremony to present the Thai SELECT Classic certificate to Mr. Ratchaphon Tridamrongrit, the owner of Tuk Tuk Thai Isan Street Food restaurant in Chicago, Illinois. The event was organized by Mrs. Suprattana Gamolvej, Director of the Thai Trade Center in Chicago.

Tuk Tuk Thai Isan Street Food, which has been serving customers since mid-2023, has gained popularity among both American and Thai customers in Chicago. It has also attracted attention from food industry media such as "Chicago Magazine," "Eater Chicago," "NBC Chicago," "Newcity Resto," "Time Out," and "The Infatuation." Moreover, Time Out magazine has ranked it as one of the top 10 Thai restaurants in Chicago for 2024. The restaurant not only offers a variety of delicious Thai dishes but is also decorated with traditional Thai artifacts that reflect the cultural heritage of Thailand.
