On February 27th, 2024, Deputy Consul-General Natnapang Damrongsoontornchai and the Consulate staff met with Dr. Brad Rowland, Manager of Operations at Endeavor Lab, College of Engineering, Architecture, and Technology, Oklahoma State University (OSU), Stillwater, OK, to explore interdisciplinary instruction and engineering innovations.
Subsequently, the delegation engaged in discussions with the director and students of the Center for Sovereign Nations, OSU, and met with Mr. Andrew Ranson, Director of the Center for International Trade Development at OSU, to explore potential academic collaborations between Thailand and OSU.
During the same visit, the delegation met with the USA Rare Earth, the first rare earth and critical minerals processing facility in the United States. They met with Mr. Robert Fredette, Director of Magnet Operations, for a briefing. Later, the delegation participated in a working dinner hosted by the Oklahoma Department of Commerce and exchanged ideas with Ms. Jenifer Macgrail, Executive Director, Center for Advancement of Science & Technology (OCAST), and Mr. Jason Baffery, Automotive Project Manager, Oklahoma Department of Commerce, on potential economic sectors for further collaboration between Thailand and Oklahoma.
