On 12 December 2021, Consul General Nitirooge Phoneprasert paid a courtesy call on Thiru Ravindra Narayan Ravi, Honorable Governor of Tamil Nadu, at Raj Bhavan, Chennai.

The Consul General congratulated the Governor on his appointment as the 26th Governor of Tamil Nadu in September 2021.

Both sides discussed ways on how to further promote cooperation in the areas of trade and investment, education, tourism, health and wellness, people-to-people connection, as well as the possibility of conducting joint activities between Tamil Nadu and Thailand to commemorate the 75th Anniversary of Diplomatic Relations between Thailand and India in 2022.
