On 21st July 2023 H.E. Mr. Nitirooge Phonepresert, Consul-General of the Kingdom of Thailand to Chennai, paid a courtesy call on Hon'ble Shri Justice S. Abdul Nazeer, Governor of Andhra Pradesh, to congratulate him on his appointment as the Governor. Both sides agreed to further strengthen cooperation on trade and investment, tourism, culture, and education between Thailand and Andhra Pradhesh.

Shri S. Abdul Nazeer was appointed as the 24th Governor of Andhra Pradesh in February 2023. Prior to this appointment, he served as the Supreme Court Judge from 2017- January 2023
