On 15 November 2024, the Royal Thai Embassy in Budapest organised Loy Krathong event at the Thai Residence. Approximately 40 participants, including members of Hungarian government officials, the Diplomatic Spouses of Budapest (DSB), representatives from private sector, and local media, gathered to learn about and participate in Krathong (a small floating flower basket) crafting and in floating Krathong together. This event aimed to elevate Loy Krathong to the status of a World Event.
