On 4 December 2023, the Royal Thai Embassy, Athens organised a reception on the occasion of the National Day of the Kingdom of Thailand, the Birthday Anniversary of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej the Great, and Thailand’s Father’s Day at Hotel Grande Bretagne Athens for high-level representatives from relevant authorities and agencies, as well as the diplomatic corps in the Hellenic Republic.

In his speech, H.E. Mr. Sathana Kashemsanta Na Ayudhya, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand to the Hellenic Republic, highlighted the significance of the 5th of December to the Thai people. He emphasized Thailand’s openness and willingness to work with all countries in development cooperation for the benefits of peoples. The Ambassador looked forward to the enhancement of collaboration between Thailand and the Hellenic Republic especially on tourism, culture and people-to-people exchange. He thanked all the agencies in the Hellenic Republic which have worked with the Thai Embassy and supported the Thai community in the past years.

At the reception, there was a Thai dance performance from the Thai Association and Meditation in Greece and a display of Thai fruit carving art. Thai dishes and dessert were also served.
