On 1 December 2022, the Royal Thai Embassy, Athens organised a reception on the occasion of the National Day of the Kingdom of Thailand, the Birthday Anniversary of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej the Great, and Thailand’s Father’s Day at the King George Hotel, Athens, for the diplomatic corps in Athens and representatives from authorities and relevant sectors in the Hellenic Republic.

On this occasion, Mr. Pornsith Pibulnakarintr, Chargé d' Affaires a.i., delivered a welcoming remark. He emphasised the initiatives of Thailand and the Hellenic Republic to reinvigorate bilateral ties in the post-pandemic period and the success of the 29^th  Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Economic Leaders’ Meeting hosted by Thailand.

At the reception, there were performances of Muay Thai or Thai Boxing and a display of Thai handicrafts. Thai dishes and dessert were also served.
