On 20-21 June 2022 the Royal Thai Embassy in Nur-Sultan organized two activities, namely (1) mental and physical health checkup, and (2) an online Buddhist sermon. The activities were held in Nur-Sultan and Almaty, Republic of Kazakhstan, with an aim to promote well-being of Thai nationals working and living abroad. A representative from the Department of Consular Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Thailand also took part in these activities by giving a virtual meeting with the participants on the topic of the protection of Thai nationals working abroad.
The 2-day events were participated by 62 Thai nationals in Kazakhstan, mostly working in the spa and wellness business. In joining these activities, the participants have gained better understanding on how to maintain good mental and physical health, as well as protections and benefits, while living abroad. The events were also a good opportunity for the Embassy to have preliminary screening on those who have health risks. Recommendations were given to their employers to take these Thai nationals to have consultations with local doctors.
