The Royal Thai Embassy in Abu Dhabi, in collaboration with Team Thailand in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), jointly organized Thai Festival 2022 between 9 - 11 December 2022 at Umm Al Emarat Park, Abu Dhabi with more than 16,000 visitors throughout the 3-day event.

 

On 9 December 2022, His Excellency Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence of the UAE, and His Excellency Dr. Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi, Minister of State for Foreign Trade of the UAE, kindly graced Thai Festival 2022 with their presence to co-preside over the opening ceremony with Ambassador Waravuth Pouapinya. Ambassadors of various countries such as China, Japan, Vietnam, and Bangladesh, together with the officers and staff of Thai authorities in the UAE were also present at the said opening ceremony.

 

Thai Festival 2022 featured more than 60 booths of a variety of Thai food and products, 40 of which were from small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs) from Thailand, and the rest were from Thai entrepreneurs/business in the UAE. Thai cultural performances supported by the Tourism Authority of Thailand in Dubai, Thai cooking demonstration, Thai Boxing Tournament (Muay Thai) sponsored by United Arab Muay Thai and Kick Boxing Federation (UAM), and live concert by Thai singers "Khun Viyada Komarakul Na Nakorn" and "Khun Pattarit Na Nagara" were also performed throughout the 3-day Thai Festival 2022.
