Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs joins the Prime Minister in a courtesy call on the President of the People’s Republic of China as part of his official visit to the People’s Republic of China

On 17 July 2026, H.E. Mr. Sihasak Phuangketkeow, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, joined H.E. Mr. Anutin Charnvirakul, Prime Minister, in a courtesy call on H.E. Mr. Xi Jinping, President of the People's Republic of China, at Xijiao State Guest Hotel in Shanghai, as part of his official visit to the People’s Republic of China.
Both sides exchanged views on their overall bilateral relations and reaffirmed their commitment to further strengthening the Thailand–China Comprehensive Strategic Cooperative Partnership. They also underscored their shared determination to advance cooperation at all levels and across all frameworks to deliver tangible outcomes for the mutual benefit of their peoples. In addition, both sides reaffirmed the importance of promoting cooperation to advance regional interests and peace, particularly in the areas of green economy, science, technology, and the digital economy.
The Prime Minister also commended China's role in promoting multilateralism under the leadership of President Xi Jinping. President Xi also appreciated the Prime Minister's participation in the opening ceremony of the World Artificial Intelligence Conference (WAIC) at his invitation.
