On 28 November 2022, the Prince Mahidol Award Foundation under the Royal Patronage (PMAF) held a joint press conference at Siriraj Medical Library, Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University, to announce the names of the recipients of the Prince Mahidol Award Youth Program Scholarship for 2022. On this occasion, Mr. Natapanu Nopakun, Deputy Director-General, Acting Director-General of the Department of Information and Spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Thailand, in the capacity of Chair of the PMAF Public Relations Sub-Committee, joined Emeritus Clinical Professor Supat Vanichyakarn, Secretary-General of the PMAF; Professor Vicharn Panich, Chairman of Prince Mahidol Award Youth Program Steering Committee; Emeritus and Professor Somphop Limpongsanurak, Chairman of Prince Mahidol Award Youth Program Selection Committee, at the press conference.

The five recipients of the Prince Mahidol Award Youth Program Scholarship are as follows:

1. Ms. Napasiri Putthanbut Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University
2. Mr. Pranaidej Hengswat Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University
3. Mr. Piyawat Kantagowit Faculty of Medicine, Chulalongkorn University
4. Mr. Sarute Chawvavanich Faculty of Medicine Ramathibodi Hospital, Mahidol University
5. Mr. Setthanan Jarukasemkit Faculty of Medicine Ramathibodi Hospital, Mahidol University

All the Prince Mahidol Award recipients will receive a one-year scholarship for research study, professional training, or community development abroad. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs will organize a preparatory briefing for the recipients before their departure as well as instruct the respective Royal Thai Embassies to contact and facilitate the recipients during their stay abroad.
