H.E. Mr. Srettha Thavisin, Prime Minister and Minister of Finance is scheduled to pay an official visit to the French Republic between 7 - 12 March 2024, which marks the first official bilateral visit of the Prime Minister to Europe.  H.E. Mr. Jakkapong Sangmanee, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, and H.E. Mr. Maris Sangiampongsa, Advisor to the Minister of Foreign Affairs, will also join this official visit.

During the visit, the Prime Minister will have a meeting with and attend a luncheon hosted by H.E. Mr. Emmanuel Macron, President of the French Republic to promote Thailand Vision as a regional hubs in 8 key industries, including aviation, tourism, logistics, future mobility and EVs. Moreover, the Prime Minister will strengthen Thailand-France cooperation in the areas of clean energy, aerospace innovation, fashion, and soft power.  The Prime Minister will also attend one-on-one discussions with high-level officials from the public and private sectors.  On this occasion, the Prime Minister will attend the MIPIM 2024 in Cannes.

Thailand and France have enjoyed long and cordial relations. The year 2025 will mark the 340th Anniversary of the Siamese Envoy to France.  This year, both sides plan to elevate their relations to a Strategic Partnership in accordance with the Roadmap on Thailand-France Relations (2022-2024).
