From February 20 - 22, 2025, Consul Katesuda Thongna led a consular team from the Royal Thai Consulate-General in New York to conduct the first mobile consular service of the year in Massachusetts. The team provided essential services, including passport and national ID card processing, document authentication, birth and death registration, and general consular assistance. A total of 282 Thai nationals from Massachusetts and nearby states benefited from these services.

The activity was graciously hosted by Wat Nawamintararachutis Temple in Raynham/Boston. On this occasion, Consul Katesuda and her team paid their respects to Phra Maha Dheerawongsa Wantha and inquired about the well-being of the monastic community, particularly during the winter season. The delegation also donated Thai and English books on Buddhism to the temple, providing resources for both Thai and foreign Buddhists to study.

Additionally, Consul Katesuda, as the representative of the Consulate, met with Mr. Prasert Intakhanha, a dedicated member of the Thai community in Maine who plays his active role as a volunteer consul in Maine and states nearby. Mr. Prasert has been instrumental in facilitating mobile consular activities in Maine, advising on consular services, assisting Thai nationals in distress, particularly in cases of natural disasters or emergencies, as well as helping strengthen Thai unity abroad.

The Royal Thai Consulate-General in New York sincerely appreciates the Thai community’s continued interest and support in our activities. Stay tuned for updates on upcoming mobile consular services in states under our jurisdiction.
