On September 28–29, 2026, the Consulate General of Thailand in New York, led by Miss Somjai Taphaopong Consulate General of Thailand in New York, Miss Thammajit Thitimontre Consul, and consular staff, visited the Thai community in the State of Connecticut and provided the 5th Mobile Consular Services of 2026 at Bleu Ginger restaurant in Connecticut.

During the community meeting, the Consul General inquired about the well-being of the Thai residents, introduced the consul and staff, and answered consular inquiries to promote accurate knowledge and understanding among community members, offering passport services, document notarization, and power of attorney authorization, alongside advisory services regarding visa applications for foreign spouses and birth certificate registration for Thai-American children. Over the course of the two days, approximately 50 Thai nationals utilized these services.

The Mobile Consular Services program aligns with the policy. The Consulate General organizes this initiative 5 to 6 times a year across its 10-state jurisdiction in the Northeastern United States, providing a great opportunity to connect with the Thai community and foster a solid understanding of the Consulate General's operations.
