Ambassador of Nepal to Thailand pays a farewell call on the Vice Minister for Foreign Affairs

On 25 May 2023, H.E. Mr. Ganesh Prasad Dhakal, Ambassador of Nepal to Thailand, paid a call on H.E. Mr. Vijavat Isarabhakdi, Vice Minister for Foreign Affairs, on the occasion of his completion of tenure.
The Vice Minister for Foreign Affairs expressed appreciation for the work done by the Ambassador of Nepal to Thailand which has contributed to the close and cordial ties between the two countries. Both sides also discussed ways to deepen bilateral and multilateral cooperation i.e. Buddhist linkage tourism, cultural exchanges, as well as pending issues from the 5th Thai – Nepal Joint Commission.
The Vice Minister for Foreign Affairs reiterated the invitation by the Prime Minister of Thailand to the Prime Minister of Nepal to attend the Bay of Bengal Initiative for Multi-Sectoral Technical and Economic Cooperation (BIMSTEC) Summit, which is scheduled to be held in Thailand later this year, as well as the invitation for the BIMSTEC Foreign Ministers’ Retreat to be held in July 2023 in Bangkok.
