On 9 June 2025, Mr. Nikorndej Balankura, Director-General of the Department of Information and MFA Spokesperson hosted a coordination working lunch with the Spokespersons of the Ministry of Defense, Royal Thai Army, and Royal Thai Armed Forces Headquarters on strategic communication efforts, in particular on common approaches to combatting misinformation and disinformation in the context of security issues.

They exchanged views on how to strengthen coordination in the context of the current media and information landscape, and exchanged views and experiences on how to address the harmful impact of misinformation and disinformation.
