On 24 June 2022, H.E. Mrs. Vjosa Osmani Sadriu, President of the Republic of Kosovo, paid a courtesy call on H.E. General Prayut Chan-o-cha (Ret.), Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Thailand, on the occasion of her visit to Thailand during 24-25 June 2022 to attend the Global Summit of Women 2022.

The Prime Minister congratulated the President for being the second female President of the country in 2021 and commended her active role in promoting woman-related issues in the international fora.

Both sides were pleased with the continued developments in the relations between Thailand and Kosovo, as reflected by the exchange of high-level visits including the President’s visit this year which is important in moving the friendship forward. Both sides were also delighted with the 10th Anniversary of the Diplomatic Relations in 2023 which is a good opportunity for conducting joint activities and cooperation. Moreover, both sides agreed to work together to reinforce cooperation in trade and investment, tourism, sustainable development and promotion of multiculturalism.

In this connection, the President of the Republic of Kosovo expressed her appreciation to Thailand for supporting Kosovo since its declared independence in 2008 and hoped that Thailand will continue doing so, especially in multilateral fora and Kosovo’s application to international organizations.
