On 14 February 2022, Mr. Thani Thongphakdi, Permanent Secretary for Foreign Affairs of Thailand met with His Excellency Mr. Kiptiness Lindsay Kimwole, Ambassador of the Republic of Kenya to the Kingdom of Thailand during the courtesy call.

Both sides discussed ways to strengthen bilateral cooperation such as hosting the 2nd Meeting of the Joint Commission for Bilateral Cooperation between Thailand and Kenya (JC Thai - Kenya) as part of an activity to commemorate the 55th anniversary of Thailand-Kenya diplomatic relations.

Both sides agreed to further enhance cooperation on trade and investment, tourism, public health, technical cooperation, and young diplomatic training program, as well as to promote Thailand's BCG model which in line with Kenya's Blue Economy.
