On International Women’s Day which falls on 8 March every year, I would like to commend the outstanding achievements of women and girls everywhere. Their social, economic, political and cultural contributions and roles as agents of change are vital in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals and building more just and inclusive societies. We need to empower more women and girls and engage them in diplomacy and international relations as well as in politics and businesses to ensure a more equitable, inclusive and better world for all.
