On 10 February 2022, Mr. Thani Thongphakdi, Permanent Secretary for Foreign Affairs, attended a press conference at the Ministry of Public Health of Thailand on the use of the ‘Thailand Digital Health Pass’ on the ‘Moh Prompt’ application for travel within the EU countries. The Permanent Secretary described the Thai Government's development of a system meeting the standards and security requirements of the EU Digital COVID Certificate (EU DCC) a success. Given that the system can be used as proof of vaccination against COVID-19 as well as being tested for and recovery from COVID-19, those who travel from Thailand to the countries that are part of the EU DCC will be able to use the Pass at border checkpoints and for entering public spaces and taking part in public activities, where required. The travel requirements and restrictions of each country, however, continue to apply and must be fully observed.

The press conference was co-organised by the Ministry of Public Health, the Ministry of Digital Economy and Society and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and was presided over by the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Public Health.
