On 30 September 2026, H.E. Mr. Vijavat Isarabhakdi, Vice Minister for Foreign Affairs, attended the Day of German Unity 2026 reception at Capella Bangkok. H.E. Mr. Anutin Charnvirakul, Prime Minister, also attended the event as Guest of Honour, along with other high-level representatives from the public and private sectors, international organisations, as well as members of the diplomatic corps.  

Attendance at the Day of German Unity celebration reflected the close and longstanding relations between Thailand and Germany, which span 164 years and encompass a wide range of areas of cooperation, including political, economic, trade and investment, education, science and innovation, sustainable development and climate action, as well as social and cultural cooperation and people-to-people relations. The two countries will mark the 165th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations in 2027.
