Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Thailand had a telephone conversation with Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Korea (ROK), strengthening cooperation against COVID-19, exchanging views on the situation in Myanmar, and discussing the participation in the 2nd Partnering for Green Growth and Global Goals of 2030 (P4G) Summit to be hosted by the ROK.

On 30 April 2021 at 14.30 – 15.00 hrs. (Thailand’s local time), H.E. Mr. Don Pramudwinai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Thailand, had a telephone conversation with H.E. Mr. Chung Eui-yong, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Korea (ROK). The two Ministers discussed the COVID-19 situation in their respective countries and explored the possibility in enhancing health cooperation, in particular cooperation on vaccines against COVID-19. They discussed the participation of the Prime Minister of Thailand in the 2nd Partnering for Green Growth and Global Goals of 2030 (P4G) Summit via video conference on 31 May 2021, to be hosted by the ROK. Both sides also exchanged views on the situation in Myanmar. In this regard, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the ROK expressed support for the efforts by ASEAN in engaging with Myanmar and in facilitating a peaceful solution to the situation. The Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Thailand looked forward to welcoming the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the ROK on an official visit to Thailand at a mutually convenient date in the future, during which both sides could continue their discussions on various issues of mutual interest.
