On 21 November 2025, H.E. Mr. Sihasak Phuangketkeow, Minister of Foreign Affairs, met with H.E. Mr. David van Weel, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Minister for Migration and Asylum of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, on the sidelines of the 4th EU Indo-Pacific Ministerial Forum (IPMF), held between 20-21 November 2025, in Brussels, Kingdom of Belgium.

 

Both Ministers signed the Convention for the Elimination of Double Taxation between Thailand and the Netherlands, marking a significant milestone in strengthening bilateral cooperation in the areas of economy, trade, and investment. The two Ministers also agreed to advance cooperation in key areas, including the semiconductor industry, and to promote collaboration to combat online scams, which both sides agreed is of great importance. The Foreign Minister also invited the Netherlands to participate in the International Conference on Global Partnership against Online Scams in Bangkok. Both Ministers also reiterated their commitment to further expanding mutually beneficial cooperation in various sectors in the future. Moreover, both sides also exchanged views on various situations, including the Thailand–Cambodia border situation.
