On 20-21 November 2025, H.E. Mr. Sihasak Phuangketkeow, Minister of Foreign Affairs, led the Thai delegation to the 4th EU Indo-Pacific Ministerial Forum (IPMF), held in Brussels, Belgium, under the theme “Building together a resilient, prosperous and secure future.” with ministerial-level representatives from over 70 countries in attendance.

The Foreign Minister, as the representative of the Asia-Pacific region, delivered the keynote address, highlighting the importance of strengthening constructive engagement between the two regions to achieve shared security, prosperity, and peace. This partnership spans multiple dimensions, including security, economy, and sustainability, through upholding a rules-based international order, promoting predictable, fair, and reliable economic arrangements, enhancing collaboration to address security challenges, and advancing the green and digital economies. The Minister also expressed Thailand’s readiness to host International Conference on Global Partnership against Online Scams in December 2025 to promote cooperation in combating online scams.

In addition, the Foreign Minister delivered a statement at the roundtable session “Security Priorities in the Face of Current Geopolitical Developments”, emphasizing Thailand's commitment to promoting international stability and security amid geopolitical challenges by safeguarding a rules-based international order, preserving strategic autonomy and strengthening cooperation against non-traditional threats, especially in combating transnational crime.

The EU IPMF is an annual consultation framework initiated by the European Union in 2021 to enhance strategic cooperation and strengthen partnerships with countries in the Indo-Pacific region.
