On 17-18 March 2025, H.E. Mr. Maris Sangiampongsa, Minister of Foreign Affairs participated in the 10th Raisina Dialogue held in New Delhi, presided over by the Prime Minister of India. More than 200 participants, including Ministers from 21 countries and senior officials from government agencies, the private sector, and NGOs worldwide also attended the event.

The Foreign Minister spoke at two sessions: (1) “ASEAN in a Polarized World,” alongside H.E. Mr. Enrique Manalo, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Philippines, and (2) “Secure Waters: ASEAN, QUAD, and the Indo-Pacific.” He shared Thailand’s and ASEAN's perspectives on addressing the increasing global polarization, the importance of maintaining a strategic equilibrium with countries in the Indo-Pacific and external partners, as well as Thailand’s readiness to serve as a bridge builder, connecting countries or blocs in support of constructive relations in the region. In addition, he reaffirmed Thailand’s support to ASEAN’s principles and dialogue processes to maintain ASEAN centrality in the Indo-Pacific region.

The Foreign Minister also had a bilateral meeting with Dr. Subrahmanyam Jaishankar, Foreign Minister of External Affairs of India. The Foreign Minister informed his counterpart of Thailand’s readiness to welcome Prime Minister of India to Thailand during the upcoming BIMSTEC Summit on 3 - 4 April 2025 in Bangkok. They also discussed ways to enhance bilateral cooperation and exchanged views on regional and international issues. In this connection, Minister Jaishankar expressed appreciation for Thailand's role in facilitating the safe repatriation of Indian nationals who had been victimized by online scam networks back to India.

The Raisina Dialogue is an international forum designed for leaders across sectors to engage in discussions and debates on current global issues. It is a highly regarded forum by the Republic of India, as a strategic platform to present India’s geopolitical position and elevate its role as a rising global power.
