The Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs attends a Business Forum to promote Thailand–Indonesia trade and joins Prime Minister’s discussions with leading Indonesian private sector representatives

On 4 August 2026, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs attended a Business Forum co-organized by the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KADIN) and the Thai Chamber of Commerce in Indonesia to promote trade between the two countries. The Forum was held under the theme “Advancing the Indonesia–Thailand Strategic Partnership: Building Integrated Value Chains in Industry, Services, and the Halal Economy.”

On this occasion, the Prime Minister delivered a keynote speech highlighting the expansion of Thailand–Indonesia economic cooperation in four key areas: (1) food security and the development of the halal industry; (2) enhanced connectivity through increased bilateral flight frequencies; (3) energy security, including investment in clean energy; and (4) the development of financial services to support the digital economy of the two countries.

The Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs also witnessed the exchange of four MoUs, including two on tourism between the Tourism Authority of Thailand and Indonesian private sector partners; one on expanding economic cooperation between the Thai Chamber of Commerce Indonesia and the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin Indonesia); and one on carbon market cooperation between the Board of Trade of Thailand and the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin Indonesia). He also witnessed the presentation of the approval certificate for the name change of PT Bank Kasikorn Indonesia Tbk, a Thai-invested company in Indonesia.

In addition, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs joined a visit to Permata Bank, an investment of Bangkok Bank in Indonesia, and took part in discussions between the Prime Minister and leading Indonesian business leaders interested in expanding their investments in Thailand.
