Minister of Foreign Affairs holds telephone conversation with Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan

On 16 January 2026, H.E. Mr. Sihasak Phuangketkeow, Minister of Foreign Affairs, had a telephone conversation with H.E. Mr. Yermek Kosherbayev, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Both sides discussed ways to promote bilateral relations between Thailand and Kazakhstan, particularly in the areas of trade, investment, tourism and academic cooperation. Both sides agreed to convene a high-level Bilateral Consultation between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of the two countries in order to prepare for the future visit of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Thailand to Kazakhstan, as well as activities for the Thai business delegation to promote closer economic cooperation between the two countries.
